JOSHUA STER

Hey Everyone!

I'm an actor, and model here in NYC, who has years of training in ballroom dance and other forms such as West African, Modern, and Ballet. I also received an MFA in directing theater from the Actors Studio Drama School. Which has helped me better understand the ins and outs of the audition process and the acting career in general which I'm extremely grateful for. I'm also a former athlete, who played football for many years, and even threw discus and hammer my first year in college.

Some positive notes! I've learned that I'm a great plus size male model! It's been a journey, but a very exciting one! I did my first national campaign for Ro from July 2024-25. And have booked another one for an arthritis medication in July 2025, I'll be sure to update this site as soon as I can, and looking forward to many more!

Over the years, I've also done some work with a great independent LGBTQIA+ production company called Sidekick Productions headed by Joshua R. Pangborn. I've done supporting roles in a couple of their feature films, and their web series. They focus on bring representation to body positivity, sex positivity, and all around queer positivity to the public and that's honestly something I'm really passionate about. Especially growing up in Iowa and having such a difficult time figuring out who Josh really is. It's been lovely to include myself amongst this group of creatives.

The next step for me is to finally break into TV. I've lived in NYC for over 11years, and still haven't been cast as a dead body on Law&Order. lol I'd also love to start singing again, because I feel that when I'm most connected to my acting and my instrument is when there's music involved.

That's all for right now! Thanks for reading, and please be kind to one another and especially yourself.
